It is funny how life works. How we have a path and how decisions are made. How mornings become nights and the days pass. We get down to business – we produce – what is the end goal – what are us humans trying to achieve. It is weird how our journeys continue via our interests. Why history. Why war. Why religion. Religion is important, to some – it is the every meaning of our existence. How are we meant to live our live? Should it be via the ‘set norm’ where we go to school, to college, to work, to marriage, to kids, to old age? What makes life so meaningful? Why do we do what we do. Some people live by routine, some want to be ‘successful’ and earn lots of money. Some people are free spirits, they go wherever and they are happy this way. Sometimes I am jealous of their simple thoughts.
What makes me do what I do.
I often go back to the question of what is the point in all this…We have to make our hearts and souls happy – but how. By filling it with more and more information? Or by experiencing. I think you’ve got to look back on a day and say thanks. Thanks for the day. Thanks for sunrise, thanks for time. I want to appreciate time. I want to do more, to achieve more, to give back more. I want to fill up my day with interactions with people. People interest me; how we function and behave. How we are all different. How there are millions of people, each to their own.
Why architecture.
In order to live you need to have a place to sleep, a place to eat, to prepare and a place to wash. It starts here – a house. If we were to leave – to have shared spaces, what comes next – public space, parks and gardens, meeting places, a place to learn about this world and a place of enjoyment?
My reminders.
Take one day at a time.
Be Interested. Ask questions. Have an opinion, a stand. Offer it. Don’t go with the flow
How far is far. Go further.
Have courage, do the unexpected, no fear.
